Support for new FTP multi-Entry tournies??

As another thought on this - the HUD for Hero shows all stats combined for the tourney - even if you have 4 entries. Maybe each entry should be treated separately?

No no no no no no no no no...... Hero stats during the tourney is not super important and will 'average out' anyway as most stats are percentages. :)

Treat the tourney as a rebuy but provide a mechanism (flag?) to distinguish these as MET rather than a 'normal' rebuy.

Sorry PJ, totally disagree.

If it was doable, I want to see my own stats seperately- the way my opponents will see them. If i have a stack and am catching cards I'll be playing much differently than if i'm card dead or have a bad table draw/whatnot.

TO the degree that people pay attention, image matters alot. If I'm sitting running 12/10 at one table and 30/25 at another, I really want to know that- as I will act somewhat accordingly / differently. Unless your entries are moving in lockstep stackwise, its highly unlikely that you'll play the same. So by lumping them all together, you do see an average, but that's not ideal at all.

And I am pretty sure that the 12/10 and 30/25 examples are pretty much what I ran in one MET I was playing. It drove me mildly nuts after a while when my stacks eventually evened out as to what I looked like on those respective tables, I didn't necessarily know in my head.

All that said, it's not the MOST important thing-- but if the data is available I want the option to use it, just like I would like the option to see villain stats just for a given tourney or for their entirety. You can feel free to not use the data. fine by me :)

I just think the whole MET thing is too complicated to treat with a fine degree of granularity. Some of these METs run to 6 buy-ins (maybe more as FTP gets a taste for a huge increase in rake) so you'll need to account for 6 version of hero and possibly 6 versions of each villain. I don't think the PT3 code cutters are looking forward to working that one out so my preference is for an easy (but workable) option and lets press with more important matters. Like, how the hell do I win a 70:30!.

Didn't think you could. Was just arguing the theory. Though if the time comes where you figure out how to treat these as 4 different tourneys, not just one (which ultimately they should if the data is a available - for result recording/buyin reason) - well then that's the time the subject ought to get revisited.

In the meantime It's not worth any practical argument unless these end up being 50+% of FTP's tourney base on a go-forward basis after the double guarantee week.

I think it could be done in PT3.

Here's my idea :)

I am aware that the tourney number is probably unique key in the database. If the key can be changed to look at 2 things it can be done. All normal mtt's shut be imported as normal but with a extra flag. Entry1. That's the new unique key. The normal mtt's never would have a second entry so this does not effect the anything else.

PT3 has to look for the word Entry in the name of the handhistory file. If i enter 2 times a multi entry Mtt i get 2 different HH.

So if the word key word in the HH is Entry pt3 has to treat every entry als it own mtt with own mtt results and hud. When pt3 imports hands it first has to check the name of the HH file. If the name is entry 1 then it should be marked as entry 1 in the database when importing the hands. Like a flag and all hands from the HH with the name entry 1 shut be auto import to this mtt.

When entered 4 time the same thing shut be done. Pt3 has to check if the name of the HH contains entry2,entry3 or entry4 and post his the mtt number with its own flag in the database.

So first query if the name of hh file already exist in the database if yes then imports in this mtt if not mak a new record with flag entry2 ,3 or 4 and then import.

The summaries shut be imported to all entries.

Much nicer would be if full tilt writes the information in the HH itselfs.
