3bet opportunity

Hello everybody!

Can you help me to understand what means "3bet opportunity" on the pokertracker's filters?
If i select 3bet i m winning money;
If i select 3bet opportunity i m loosing money! :?

Someone can explain?
Ps: I m french, so i don t understand everything in english, it will be nice if you use words that i can search in a dictionnary!! :lol:

An "opportunity" is the chance to do something - you only have a 3-bet opportunity if someone has made a single raise when the action gets to you.

If i select 3bet i m winning money;

If you 3-bet, you will usually have a good hand (I hope), so you probably make money.

If i select 3bet opportunity i m loosing money!

Most of the time when you face a raise (i.e. have the chance to 3-bet) you will fold. Some of these times you will have posted blinds or limped already, so you will lose this money.

I don't get to play as much as I'd like these days, but certainly that is a useful thing to filter to and see how you are performing in those sorts of hands.
Maybe you could filter for "3-bet opportunity" AND "voluntarily put money in pot" to see if you're making the right plays when you have actually entered the pot and face a raise.
..or filter for "3-bet opp called" or "3-bet opp folded" and see how you do in those cases too.
