Freeze Up During Db Install

Hello,
I'm attempting to D/L PT3 and successfully got the software to install. However, I now have a window frozen in the middle of the screen after the PostgreSQL d/l started. It's been 15 minutes and it only shows an hourglass over the window when I pass the cursor over it. Please advise as to my next step. Thanks

Did you download and install "PT3 with postgres"?
If so, there is no need for it to be downloading anything else.
If you installed PT3 without postgres, then it may be waiting for you to install postgres yourself, I'm not sure.
Let me know what you've done so far, and exactly what the 'frozen' window says before you do anything else..

I downloaded the beta version "with postgres" but when I doubleclicked the icon on the desktop, it immediately prompted me to d/l postgres. At this point, the window is still up but the content has been overwritten with the content of the most recent screen I have viewed. Before that, it showed the screen that had four or so "blanks" that were filled in but greyed that included server, password and a few other blanks all filled in. When passing the cursor over the unchecked box in the middle of that window, it only showed the hourglass.

Are you sure it said download postgres, not install it?
I've just done this myself because i set up a new PC, and it didn't need to download anything else..

I think you need to kill the process and try again.

Resolved. The window was the Configuration, not install window and it just got hung up, I suppose. Second time, it hesitated with that window for less than a minute and then gave the success screen.
