Unable to import my hands (FTP)

Postby pokerpro » Thu Aug 07, 2008 2:59 pm

Today was the first time I played when using PT3.

I have had no problems getting data on observed tables.

This is the error message which came through:
Full Tilt: Unable to import hand. Reason: Unable to execute query: COPY holdem_hand_player_statistics FROM STDIN;; Reason: Fatal Error (ERROR: could not extend relation 1663/24576/24599: No space left on device HINT: Check free disk space.

I have not done anything to my database from PT2.

Any help would be most welcome.

I had a similar problem and just vaccuum, clustered, and analyazed my DB and now I'm not running into the problem.

you might give that a try.

Your PT2 and PT3 databases are completely separate, so your PT2 database is irrelevant to this.
Have you looked at how much space there is left on the disk? Postgres needs plenty of free space to work efficiently, so if your disk is nearly full you will need to make some space on it.

Thank you.

I have uninstalled PT2 and it has cleared up quite a bit of room.

If i go into windows explorer into the PT2 area in Program Files I still have a few files
hhcopy.ddb
ptrack_backup.mdb
ptrack_backup_20080329
and a couple of text files

Can I safely delete these to free up more space? Or will it be dangerous to do so?

I am at different stakes now, so I don't need these databases.

I would suggest keeping a backup of those files in case you ever need to access your PT2 data again.
You can zip/compress them and store them away from your computer if you like.

OK I will do that.

Once I have done that, is it safe to delete them from my computer's hard-drive i.e. will their absence affect PT3 in any way?

PT3 does not use any PT2 files or databases at all so you don't need to keep them on your computer, no.
