importing tournament summaries for SNG's into PT3 from Party

Could somebody please clarify the issue with importing tournament summaries for single table SNG's into Poker Tracker 3 (PT3) from Party Poker (PP)?

I understand this matter has been discussed many times before, and I have read many of the posts within the forum, however, I still cannot find a satisfying solution to problem. From my understanding, PP have recently made changes to the structure of their hand histories allowing PT3 to import tournament statistics, such as finishing place, thereby eliminating the need to import the emailed tournament summaries. From my own experience, this does appear to be the case, however, I have discovered that in some cases, it has incorrectly recorded my finishing place (ie, 3rd instead of 2nd.) I have 3 questions concerning this matter and I would appreciate it very much if somebody could answer these for me.

1) Could somebody please clarify for me the exact procedure I should be taking to import single table SNG's from PP into PT3.

2) When importing tournament summaries from email, my understanding is that you need to copy the contents into a .txt file and place it into the PP hand histories folder so that it can be auto imported into PT3. When copying the contents, can I just copy the entire contents of the email, or must I remove everything before the line "You requested a transcript of Tournament #XXXXXXX.?"

3) When and how should I be using the Autofill option under the Tournaments menu? Would this function be of any use given the recent changes in PP's hand histories?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wasn't aware of the finishing information being in the hand history files - surely you only get hand history files for hands until you get knocked out, so the results won't be complete anyway?
Please attach the hand history file for one of these SNGs, which includes this new information, to the Support system , and link to this thread in the reference field of the ticket so that we can investigate.

I think that the summaries that you can get automatically emailed to you should be able to be imported. Copy and paste the text of them into notepad so it is saved as a plain text file. Miss out everything before the start of the results, including the line you mention.
This process will be automated soon - see the Development Timeline.

If those summary files import OK, then you don't need to use the 'auto fill' mechanism.
Auto fill can only be used on single table SNGs, and at the moment only assigns winnings correctly for 10 seat tables, though it will fill in finishing order correctly for smaller tables too.
Once you have selected the SNG, set it to type 'SNG (1 table)' and click auto fill.

I apologise for the delayed response. I rechecked the hand history and discovered that the finishing information is incomplete as you had stated.
Could you please specify the exact line in the emailed summary that you should copy and paste? ie, is it from "Summary," or is it from "***** Hand History for Game XXXXXXXXXXXX *****". Buy-In and Fee information is found under the title "Summary" as shown below.

I haven't actually done this myself..
Try from the "Summary" line, I think that information will be used, but I'm not sure.
If that doesn't work, try from "***** Hand History for Game XXXXXXXXXXXX *****"
