Are there any Bugs in calculation OnGame Rake/MGR?

Postby BlackPersian » Wed Aug 13, 2008 6:19 am

Hey Guys,

I have a new RB Deal and right now, I played7.000~ NL50 and Nl30, both SH. PT3 shows for August an amount of 480$ Rake and 580$ MGR. The problem is now, that my affiliate see only the half of that in his statistiscs. Now we have to look, if PT3 makes some mistakes, or if the Ongameskin makes some mistakes.

Please tell me, if there are any bugs and how I could check it.

Thanks a lot!

Rake is the amount of rake you paid, and MGR is the average rake per player in each pot, regardless of who paid it.
Your rakeback deal may use a different formula to generate their figures, so make sure you know what that is.
Have a look at the sessions tab where rake and MGR are both listed in the top report.
If you want to add it to the session hands report at the bottom too, you can click the wrench/spanner icon to the right of the report and add it.

Thanks for your reply!

I know, where I can look and find the amount...but the big differences in the amounts of the rake, that my affiliate can see and the amount in Poker Tracker is strange. So we want to watch, if there any known bug. When you tell me, that there is no bug, then it must be a mistake of the Ongameskin.

I was just thinking that if the amount is half, maybe there's a misunderstanding of how they calculate the contributed rake.
Find out the formula they use, and examine a few hands or sessions you've played and check that the correct rake is being recorded for you.
It's possible there is a bug in the rake calculations - I don't play at OnGame so I haven't tested this personally.

Ok, thank you. I will meet my affiliate tonight and maybe he´s got an answer from Ongame. I let you now, what we´ve found and if its more possible, that there is a bug. In my opinion, I would say...PT3 shows the correct amount. But don´t know, if Ongame or my affiliate wont find a mistake, we have to look.

Thanks 4 your fast support!

I tested the rake calculations at some other sites early in the alpha test phase and I think they are all correct, but as I said I haven't tested ongame personally, so please let us know if you find anything wrong.
