Fatal exception: Unable to login to database

2008/08/14 20:58:04: Fatal Exception during Auto-Import process: Unable to login to database (PT3 DB). Reason: server closed the connection unexpectedly This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request.


Was getting that error and nothing would import. Now I have most hands imported, but the "limit" area of the cash game is blank and the HUD doesn't work.

I have the same problem...

That is probably because postgres is not running.
Start -> Programs -> PostgreSQL -> Start Service.
Or a reboot.
If that doesn't work, see the Database / Postgres FAQ, particularly the bit about postmaster.pid.

OK, I restarted it and now everything works right except the HUD, which doesn't work at all still. Any suggestions to get that running?

What PT3 version, what site?

OK, read the FAQ, all good there. I am using V 3.00 build 2, whatever that means. The site it hasn't been working on is Stars, haven't tried Tilt but I can if you want me to.

Download and install PT3.
Please read the Beta 15 release notes first.

Sorry to be a pain...just installed beta 15 and the HUD still doesn't work. Everything else works except the HUD...I tried to restart postgres again after I installed it and still no luck...

What site are you playing on? What games are you playing (cash/tourney)? Has the HUD ever worked?

I am playing on Stars, cash games. The HUD worked up until my OP where I had that fatal exception. Everything else now works except the HUD.
