Unable to execute query - Please help

Postby Bombhead » Sat Aug 30, 2008 1:01 pm

Having some problems, and have looked in FAQ and in forum and cant find any solutions.

When I go to the Position tab in PT im getting this error..

Unable to execute query : SELECT (holhem_hand_player_statisics.position) as "position", (count(holdem_hand_player_statistics.id_hand)) as "cnt_hands", (sum((case when(holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_vpip) then 1 else 0 end))) as "cnt_vipip", (sum((case when(holdem_hand_player_statistics.cnt_p_raise>0)then 1 else end)))................

Im also getting a similar message in the summary tab.

Please help.

Did you add any stats (especially custom stats) to the reports?
Have you got any filters set?
Are you using Beta 16?

OK, Please enable logging, reproduce the problem and submit your PokerTracker.log file to the Support system , and link to this thread in the reference field of the ticket so that we can investigate.

WTF, this is very strange. I've had this problem consistantly for about a month and now i've gone into the positions tab for the error to occur and to send it to you it's suddenly working!

Next time it occurs I'll send it to you.....

Thanks.

WhiteRider,

As I was unable to use PT3 fully and it was annoying me, plus I discovered the housekeeping didn't work either, I decided to try re-installing.

I backed up the DB, removed both PT3 and PostgreSQL, then re-installed, imported the DB and re-configured. Took me best part of the day, but everything seems to be working now.

I'd appreciate you still look at the ticket and let me know though, just in case I have the same problem in the future. Or maybe I just send it again if it happens....

One other thing is the export files in DB manager doesn't seem to work properly on my home pc or laptop, doesn't export all the files. To transfer hand histories i've been manually going to the file they're stored in and copying the logs and processed files. It has been working fine, but just checking this wouldn't cause any problems would it? And probably a silly question but all the duplicate files are just ignored and not causing any problems when transfering are they?

OK, glad you got it working. Someone will look at your ticket, if they haven't already.

How do you notice that the Export isn't working properly?
It should report how many hands were exported - is this correct?
Are you getting a different number imported if you import into another database?
If you can identify any hands (or levels, or sites, or whatever) that don't export/import correctly in Beta 16, please let us have the hand histories via the support system.

Importing the 'processed' folder is fine, and duplicates are ignored so don't cause any problems.
