No HUD update as soon as player is cached?

Postby unseen » Mon Sep 01, 2008 4:27 pm

First things first: Beta16 is great. Compared to all other releases this is a milestone for PT3 and makes me hope that one day it will be as good as PT2/PAHud were and evenbetter. :-)

I still ave a problem or a question, if you will. It seems that I get stats from all players in the cache, but just the state they had when the cache was generated. All other players wil be updated frequently. From a quick look at the DB together with the need to manually update the cache, this seems logical to me, but is of course not acceptable from a usablity standpoint. We talk about minutes (for me 20 minutes) to update this cache, it is absolutly not possible to do during a session for me.

Am I right and if so is there something planed for the next release on this?

No, the new stats should be added onto the cached stats so that you see lifetime stats for everyone.
Is this explained by refresh rates? The players you have lots of hands of data on won't be updated as often as the players with only a few hands.

Confirmed. I don't know what was wrong the other session, but I had one after I posted here and everything seems to work as it should, that means all the stats are updated normally. Probably you are right and it was an update frequency issue.
