Unable to login to database. (PT3DB)

Reason: Sever closed the connection unexpectedly. This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing request.

I am getting this error message under the Texas Holdem tab and I am unable to check individual player stats.

I am running Vista and PT 3 and have followed instructions to run as administrator, but PokerTracker still consistently freezes at least one time per session.

Please help me with these problems

This means that postgres isn't running.
Please try starting the postgres service: Start -> Programs -> PostgreSQL -> Start Service.
If that, and a reboot doesn't work, try stopping the service (Start -> Programs -> Postgres -> Stop Service), running a search on your computer for postmaster.pid and then deleting that file, then restarting the service and see if that helps.
Note that you may need to turn on 'View hidden files and folders', and the file seems to be in the folder './Program Files/postgresql//data'.

I am now getting an error message while trying to import files. The error message is:
Fatal Exception during Auto-Import process: Unable to log into database (PT3DB). Reason: Server closed the connection unexpectedly. This means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request.

I found the file postmaster.pid and deleted it. I have started service for postsql. None of these things have worked. Please help.

Beta 17 should attempt to restart the postgres service if it stops, but if it is stopping regularly then there must be something on your computer that doesn't like it.
Have a look at this thread, see if you are using any of the offending software.
