PT3 Still not working

I downloaded the new software and get this

You shouldn't be getting that error in Beta 17 - does it definitely say Beta 17 in the title bar when you run now?

If so, Please enable logging, reproduce the problem by playing a few hands on a single table and submit your PokerTracker.log file to the Support system , and link to this thread in the reference field of the ticket so that we can investigate.
Attach the hand history file for the session to play too.

where would it say beta 17

Yes, after that..
It should say "PokerTracker TM v3.00 Beta 17 Database xyz".

it says build 2...so i tried to download the update (which I thought I had done sucessfully)

and get this error message

You need to stop PT3 before installing.
If you have stopped it and you still get that error, open Task Manager (ctrl-alt-del) and go to the Processes tab. Find pokertracker.exe and End it.
Then run the installer.

if this program didnt install correctly, try reinstalling usuing settings that are compatible with this version of windows

What version of windows are you using?
Try right clicking the install file and choose Run As Administrator.
