FT works fine; PS does not work -- help!

I'm a new PokerTracker user that has a problem I can't solve. All of these problems are when playing STG's. I think I've set up PT to AutoImport at FT and PS. I've set both FT and PS to record hands. It works great with FullTilt. I'm able to see the 3 tourney I played in, see my hands, and it puts information on my opponents live while I'm playing. All of this is available under the "Tournaments" tab.

However, when I try to use PS, the AutoImport show me that it's recording hands, but when I go to "Tournaments" tab, there's only my FT username (different than my PS username) and no way to get it to recognize my PS name. I used the "Settings" tab to try and change to my PS username, but it never changes.
If I change to the "Cash Game" tabs, my name and all my opponents names are in the list. When I click on my PS username and then the "Hands" tab, no hands are visible. Only tab containing information is the "vs Player" tab.

I have screen dumps of the information above, if that would be helpful. Any advice is appreciated, since I currently can't use the tool. Thanks! -- Ken

There is an error with tournaments being imported as cash at PS for some people in Beta 17, and it sounds like this is what's happening to you. This will be fixed in the next release which is due out within the next couple of days. Make sure you keep the original hand histories in the 'processed' folder and you will be able to re-import when B18 comes out.

Thanks for your reply. Even if the PS imports come in as cash, can you tell me why I can't see my hand history? Will I be notified when the update comes out, cuz' this is unusable? I did not know I was using beta code in PT3 since it's sold now.
Also, will you please describe how to "reload" <or whatever I need to do> the hand history when this is fixed?

We use the term "beta version" slightly differently - it just means it's the latest update, and although it's tested before release, it hasn't had full widespread testing. It will contain fixes and new features, and when they have all been in use for a while a new "Build" version will be released.

Check that you have no filters set; click "Clear".
The "Hands" tab shows 'known starting hands', so if they haven't imported correctly then the hole cards may not be known.

If you are running a beta version already then I think you are notified about new versions when you start up.
Alternatively, watch the General forum for sticky Release Notes topics.

Do you have a registered copy of PT3, or are you using the trial?
How you re-import is slightly different..

I am using the trial version, but I will buy as soon as I can get it to work. :D I'm using V3.00 build 2.
Since I have friends using this version, I'd just assumed something was not set correctly. Thanks for the reply.

Ah, that explains it.
You will need Beta 17 since pokerstars updated their software last week.
Download and install PT3.

OK. I've downloaded and installed beta 17. After installation, when I started PT I got a dialog box telling me the database(s) needed to be rebuild and this might take hours. I clicked "OK" and it finished in about 20 seconds. When I opened PT, I see no difference. The PS is still under cash with no hands available and the FT is under tournaments, now also with no hands available. I get the message "Unable to load query: Reason: Unknown token encountered cnt_p_raise_first_in". All of the rest looks the same for both FT and PS. :(

I have different usernames on FT and PS, but I wouldn't think that would be a problem. Do I need to re-import the files or what would you suggest now? Thanks

Please update to Beta 18 as these issues have been fixed.
Download and install PT3.

Make sure you have Stars configured to write hand histories - the last update stopped this happening for some people.
Note if you are using Vista I don't think you can write HH files to [a subfolder of] the Program Files folder any more.

Thanks! I seem to have all the features now, except recording wins. PT3 tells me I've lost every SnG. I read the "Frequently Asked Questions" and will give that a try for now. I appreciate your help.
