Trouble importing

Postby Drich33 » Wed Sep 24, 2008 11:14 pm

I was tyring to auto import from PokerStars and i got the following message:

Unable to begin feeder import process. Reason: Unable to login to database (PT3 DB). Reason: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

Can somebody let me know what this is all about, im not very computer savy. I have the demo right now but i need to get it to work before i buy the product. Thanks very much.

This means that postgres isn't running.
Please try starting the postgres service: Start -> Programs -> PostgreSQL -> Start Service.
If that, and a reboot doesn't work, try stopping the service (Start -> Programs -> Postgres -> Stop Service), running a search on your computer for postmaster.pid and then deleting that file, then restarting the service and see if that helps.
Note that you may need to turn on 'View hidden files and folders', and the file seems to be in the folder './Program Files/postgresql//data'.
