Import error, Numeric field overflow

Postby pavman » Sat Jun 07, 2008 9:57 pm

Hi
When using manual import in PT3 for hands datamined at party i got the following error 90 times in 34,000 hands.

Unable to import hand. Reason: Unable to execute query: COPY holdem_hand_summary FROM STDIN;; Reason: Fatal Error (ERROR: numeric field overflow DETAIL: A field with precision 4, scale 2 must round to an absolute value less than 10^2. CONTEXT: COPY holdem_hand_summary, line 74, column amt_rake: "199.00" )
Unable to import hand. CONTEXT: COPY holdem_hand_summary, line 71, column amt_rake: "145.40" )
and so on
any ideas? Looks like rake may be way too large for a single hand.

If you can identify the hand history files for a few of those errored hands then please attach them to the Support system , and link to this thread.

I know that this thread may not be too recent, but is it possible that you are importing hand histories you created while using the Java instant client from PartyPoker?

I found that all the hand histories I copied from my laptop, where I can only use the Java client, all had this same problem. Also the hands that did make it into the database had interesting amounts for each player: $2,500.00 dollar each for a .25 NL table. Which also explains the immense rake figures.

I hope that this helps the developers tracking the issue down and fixing it in Beta15? ;)

Thanks for reporting this, gvdbilt - could you please create a ticket on the Support system , and link to this thread.
If you could attach a few of these hand histories too, that would really help.
Thanks.
