I have a Windows XP Pro machine with a 2.0ghz duo core Pentium with 4 gigs of DDR25300 ram with a Nvidia video card.

When I upgraded to ver 12 PT3 ran without a hitch. I could import 18 tables on FT, run the HUD, let it run for 12 hours plus . No problems. Version 13 will close down at random intervals without warning. The only way I know it closed is the HUD disappears of the tables I am playing at.Or the hud will report an error saying it has shutdown and I need to restart PT3. I stop the hud on the import page, stop importing hands, let the program sit idle for 10-15 seconds after the hard drive activity light shuts off then close PT3. When I restart PT3 I get 1000's of duplicate hands. Reinstalled version 12 and its back to happy town for me.

I used to do some C programing back in the day before C+ was thought of. I cant imagine an undertaking of this magnitude. Hang in there ya'll.

If you could enable logging and submit those logs along with a support ticket using the support system it would help the developers out a lot. The more information the better it seems.

I guess I can take one for the team and install beta 13 again... I will send it to PT3 support staff and the end of today.

Disaster has struck... lost my entire database.... Unable to login to database (PT3DB). Reason: could not connect to server. Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432? Went to the Processed folded and there might be 1000 hands in there..the rest of the files now just an incredibly long list of TMP files. eg LSH1A.TMP file size is 240k. And oh yeah, the hud crashed again. I lost a 500k hand database a few days ago when I junked vista for XP pro. exported the DB to my flash drive. checked it. they were all there.reformated, loaded xp, imported from the folder on the flash drive... only imported 19k hands. So this makes two lost DB's in less than a week. YIKES!


I hate to look like an idiot , but how do I upload my log file to my posts ?

That sounds like postgres isn't running - try restarting it: Start -> Programs -> Postgres -> Start Service.
