Fatal Error !

Postby Zorro » Sun Jun 22, 2008 12:52 pm

When I start playing and begin auto-import (Party Poker) hud shows up for about 2 hands then get error: "Fatal Error-The hud process required a forced shutdown. Please re-start poker tracker. So I re-start play 2 hands and error comes up again comes up again. What could this be, I also play on my laptop with no problems. Don't ask me to send support ticket still waiting a month for last one. You know I thought P.O. support was bad, but in reality there way better and you get an answer within 24 hrs. every time. Here when you send support ticket they don't even bother, you should at least answer the suckers (me included ) that paid you for PT3. PT Pat would never be this lack lustre as you people that took over. Sorry I just can't take anymore I've been so patient!

There are a lot of tickets, and a lot of them relate to the same type of problems, so not every one gets a personal response, but they are all read.
If you want to help us fix your problem, then please do submit another ticket with your log files.
Thanks.

If there are a lot of tickets, why don't you at least make an attempt to answer an issue if you maybe came upon it in these threads. This is supposed to be a support forum u clueless maron.

So if you are playing on your laptop with the same software and database yes? Then it must be a problem on your main PC that's causing the shutdown - possibly an interaction of software that's not there on the laptop; or some flaky hardware?

p.s. don't resort to throwing names at dave (white rider); it just makes people in here less inclined to try and help you - we all try our best I believe to support one another.

No flaky hardware, just flaky software called PT3. BTW anyone that has this problem try this: rename your C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\Data\Layouts.pt3 to Layouts.backup and restart PT3. This seemed to correct the problem, so no need to create a support ticket and not get an answer. See thats all I'm saying WhiteRider could of pointed me in this direction, less support tickets clogging the sytem. Not just always give the same answer "please do submit another ticket with your log files". This was in a sticky but it did not say it would fix "Fatal Error-The hud process required a forced shutdown. Please re-start poker tracker." Is it not better to try to come up with possible solutions before sending more tickets. Sorry for the name calling but people are getting hot under the collar. Especially when you sent a support ticket in 6 weeks ago still waiting for a reply, when there could be an easy fix right here.

so if you know a circumvention for know? and it seems indeed you do by your voluminous reply; why ask?

they know about the problem via the ticket and no doubt it'll get fixed...

Renaming the layouts.pt3 file to layouts.backup forces PT3 to return to the default HUD settings.

If your particular problem goes away and does not return, then the cause is somehow related to the custom layout that you created.

If the problem persists, then it is likely not related to the layout that you created.

It is simply a means of eliminating or confirming potential causes of the problem.

Did you attach the broken layouts.pt3 file to a support ticket so that we can work out what in it is causing the problem?
