pop up stats are slow to load

When I play the HUD stats will appear (next to the player, those stats) but the pop up stats are always so slow to load (meaning when I click the stats to see the pop up stats, they come up but show no data) . My database is huge, as a datamine almost always so I know this is why it is slow, but what will speed this up? I am not doing anything else but poker so nothing else is really running but PT and at most 6 tables of FTP. I vacuum and cluster the DB frequently.

Sorry about not being clear.

When I click the stats to see the pop up stats.. the whole pop-up "menu" appears right away, however, there is no data. So I will see "Fold to Steal % ..... " with no numbers, etc.

I am running the 8.3 postgres DB on my laptop (2.0 ghz, 2 gig ram).

Do you think running the new beta will help me out? I am using 3.0 build 2.

Yes, upgrading to beta 13 will definitely improve your issues here, but I am not sure if it will exactly fix it or not.

take thomas' advice for now and try beta 13 - just get the program not the postgres bundle - try that - if you still have the problem, post back into this thread...

yes dave, it'll probably be 5400rpm udma5; but i've run 8 tables of hud fine on this sort of spec; albeit probably not with the number of hands he has...

i take it your data is showing up in the application even though not in the hud?

have you heavily customised your hud? what happens if you revert to a basic hud, then what happens?

hdd defrag?

other apps running when this happens?

memory and processor occupancies of pt and postgres when this happens?

I have a 7200 RPM hardrive.

My database is probably a million + hands easy.

I just upgraded to beta 13 so we'll see what happens ( i did get the postgres version although ).

What happens is that I see the overlayed stats over my opponents (takes awhile for this to appear as well), but when i click on the overlayed stats to see the pop up stats, there is no data in the popup menu. All I see is all the titles in the pop up stats (like vpip, prf, and the list goes on..) but no numbers to the right of them.

We'll see if beta 13 helps out.
