won't start

Postby kwatson7 » Wed Jul 02, 2008 10:44 pm

Hello, I was converting a poker tracker 2 database and pokertracker all of suddenly quit. Then I started it up again, I got past the trial version page of poker tracker and then the little poker tracker 3 logo window shows and just sits there. I ended the process, and tried again, still didn't work. Then I restarted my computer and tried it again and it still doesn't work.

Second, does the full tilt auto center work yet for poker tracker 3 HUD

I'm using edition 14

Is postgres running - can you see postgres processes in Task Manager / Processes?

Yes. Please see the PT3 HUD FAQ.

Maybe the PT3 software did start: I had the same issue when I recently had a Windows crash. After re-booting the PC, restarting PT3 let to a very small bar with only the PT3 text in it. I pulled the lower right corner and lo and behold, PT was actually running but it was minimized to just the window top bar with the application name in it. And it was sitting in the middle of the screen.

So my advice: Try to pull out the window borders and you'll probably find that PT is really running, just confused about how to restore the previous window size.

Postgres is running. I see it in the task manager under processes. There are actually 4 processes of it running. There is no window to expand to normal size.

assuming you've still got the pt2 database (and hh's for good measure...???) and nothing of consequence in the pt3 postgres dbs (they're probably in a state of limbo anyway...)

i'd try removing pt3 and postgres and starting again; letting the conversion run its course...

if you have got information you need in the pt3 dbs, you could try the native pg_dumpall command to back-off this db for starters...
