TableTracker is completely FUBAR'd for me

Postby domino66 » Wed Jul 09, 2008 12:04 am

First of all, the Table Tracker tab, NEEDS A STOP SEARCH BUTTON. as far as i can tell, it only has a start search button, which is annoying when a search is taking ages (which it does, see below) and I can't do anything to stop it other than shut down PT3.

The problems I've discovered to this point are twofold:

a) the searches take AGES AND AGES AND AGES. I document one of my searches below, giving the blow-by-blow account of what happens along the way. I've asked TT to use my default DB, in which I keep my Everest HHs...it only has around 40,000 HHs, and it's freshly vacuumed and clustered. So it should be lightning fast, right?

At the 1-minute-16-second mark (1:16) the first table shows up in the Available tables list; it's table Kabul-1, a 1KNL table. I have stats on 5 of the 6 players seated.

2:18: the 2nd table shows up: Kwania-3, a 1KNL 6-max table for which I have stats on 5 ppl.

At ~ 3:30 mark, it tells me that the search is complete. 2 tables found in 3 and a half minutes. Freakin' mollasses.

I also tried using TT to search Ongame (using my relatively larger Ongame DB: about 300,000 hands...but that's still pretty modestly-sized as far as PT DBs go...so it should have been fast.) Let's just say that it was STILL finding new tables 40-minutes after I pressed the start search button (I quickly scanned the Ongame lobby before i pressed the search button, and saw that it 'should' find between 14 and 18 tables that fit my search criteria. So I knew that there were quite a few tables that were to be found, but the fact that it still hadn't found them all in 45 minutes is ridiculous.

I don't know how TT is coded or what-not, but i don't understand why it's not a lightning-quick matter to just quickly get a list of all the tables that fit my criteria from your server, and then do a quick scan of those players against the players in my PT3 DBs. I can't even imagine what part of the process could take 40 minutes or longer!!

B) Now for the even more disturbing problem. The Stars TT seems to be completely busted for me in that i) it takes ages to generate the list of available tables, just like for both Ongame and Everest as described above (i haven't tried any of the other sites, but it looks like this is a problem everywhere). ii) BUT more troublesome (obviously) is that once it does find tables, it always tells me that it has no stats on any of the players, even when i DO HAVE STATS ON THEM. Heck, I can go to the 'texas hold'em' tab in PT3 and find the individual players, and SEE their stats...but TT is not correctly identifying them i guess b/c it always tells me i don't have any stats on Stars players.

Well, there you have it. TT is a mess for me at this point :(

This is only happening to you. Have you submitted a support ticket with logs yet?

I use TT probably 20-30 times a day on Everest. If I select one limit it completes in about 30 seconds. If I select 3 limits it takes about 2.5 minutes. Our databases are about the same size as well.

This forum cannot help you. If you want official support you must submit a support ticket.

I have the exact same problem with Table Tracker on PokerStars. I make a search and then I get a list with tables but it says "no stats" for almost all of the tables. Usually Table Tracker finds stats for 1 or 2 players, even though I actually have stats on probably about 50 to 60 % of the people playing, which is strange because it obviously shows, that Table Tracker is able to connect to my database....it just never finds more than 2 people, which makes it useless at this point.

Obv not, dude. Why on earth would you the the first to reply to a thread and say something like that? Makes no sense.

Have you submitted a support ticket with logs yet?

Yes, and linked it to this thread as you're supposed to do.

How many tables does it find and populate...saying 3 limits doesn't really give much context. 2.5 minutes would be acceptable if we're talking 50-60 tables, which somehow i doubt. It's taking several minutes for me just to find and populate 3 or 4 tables that fit my criteria, which is just ridiculous.

uh, yeah, that's been done. the name of this forum is tech support bug reports. Are you new around here or something?
