Old PS tournaments results import

Postby Ayrton9972 » Sun Jul 27, 2008 12:42 pm

Hi, today i ask to pokerstars my full hand history and my full tournament results ( asking it in the lobby they mail only the latest 200 tournaments results so i was forced to ask the full history ).They mail me 3 ".mht" files, one for s&g, onother for HU and the last one for MTT. I try to import this file in PT3 but the programm don't accept this format, i also converted the files into pdf, word and txt file but when i try to load it in the progamm i has always the same error, someone know if is possible convert in some way this files to load it and have finally the results of the older tournaments ?
Thank's in advance

I don't know what .mht is, but you need to get the summary text into plain text files before you can import into PT3.
I would advise splitting them up, because tournament summary import is quite slow, so that many would take quite a while.

.mht is an HTML web archive; you need to get them to ANSI .txt with NO leading spaces...

How do I change the format of the file, so that I can import it to PT?

Are you able to open the file in your browser?
Can you see hand history text?
IF so, just copy and paste that text into notepad and then save it.

I requested a full tournament history from Pokerstars, and they sent me 3 .html files. One for HU SnGs, one for MTTs and one for SnGs. I am able to open them and they dont look like the texts that are sent to you by email when you only request tournament history for, lets say 200 tournaments..

They look like this when i copy them directly from the .html file:

Date/Time Tourney Game Buy-In ReBuys
AddOns Rake Place Entries Prize Target ID Qualified
2/12/2008 11:55:22 AM 77180007 NL Hold'em $15.00 $0.00 $1.00 5 9 $0.00
2/12/2008 12:01:16 PM 77179984 NL Hold'em $15.00 $0.00 $1.00 4 9 $0.00
2/12/2008 12:30:40 PM 77168841 NL Hold'em $4.00 $0.00 $0.40 81 180 $0.00
2/12/2008 12:36:28 PM 77167890 NL Hold'em $4.00 $0.00 $0.40 57 180 $0.00

When i right-click the file and hit "open in.."--> notepad they look like this:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<!-- saved from url=(0254)http://tools.csr.pstars:5555/OlapReports/user_tourneys.asp?player=D+Berbatov&playerIntId=12728281&plView=1&stream=file&tournType=1&tournType=2&tournType=3&year_start=2008&month_start=02&day_start=05&year_end=2008&month_end=07&day_end=30&switch=Sit+%26+Go -->

}

Doesnt make much sense to me.. :)

Rather than opening it in notepad, just copy/paste the text from your browser into a new notepad file (so that it looks like the readable version you posted first) and save it.
Try importing that.
I'm not sure whether that will work because as you say it's a different format.
If it doesn't import, please attach your plain text version to the Support system , and link to this thread so that we can see about adding support.

I have another question, but dont want start a new thread..

I have created a new database to track my $30+3 Sit&Go's and I want to use the HUD, but Im afraid to start the auto import because I fear that it will start importing all the hands ive played, EVER. And I dont know what to do to make PT only import the hands im playing while using the HUD.. What to do??

Make sure you have the 'move processed files to' option set on the auto import window.
With this set, when you stop auto import it will move any files it has processed to the specifed folder.
If you want to make sure you don't import any old hands, before you start playing, and with your poker software closed, open the hand history folder that auto import is configured to use.
If there are any old hand history files in this folder or any subfolders, move them to the 'processed' folder (do a manual import first, in your old DB, to make sure you've imported them all).
Then when you start playing new hands and auto importing it will only find the new hands.

Thanks

Oh, and one more thing :D

Im very new to PT so I dont know much..

1. I have imported a number of hands (30-40k, but had to stop the auto-import because it took a looong time and I had to finish up, and when i start importing again it just starts importing the files i imported yesterday (duplicates), and i know its gonna take forever for it to start importing new (old) hands.. Advice?

2. In the Pokerstars/Handhistory directory i only have like 200 files or something, and PT collects many more hands than these, but i dont know where they get them from.. Where?:P

3. If I start playing $33 SnGs now, and I dont want PT to import ANY other hands than those I play now. How can I set this up?
