Uninstall / Reinstall Problems

Postby nucknuck » Sat Aug 02, 2008 8:41 pm

I started using the Beta version in June and it was great. I had not purchased it, but planned on it. In July the HUD stopped working, and I thought maybe it was related to uploading the newest version. I did upload the newer version 15 as prompted. That did not resolve my problem. I would like to purchase this product as long as I can get it to work again.

I then thought I would uninstall (the problems) and then download / reinstall a version that worked and I would purchase. Now I continue to get " a version of ptracker is already running" when I try to initialize the program.

Anyway to remove from computer and start clean and then purchase? I am sure I did something wrong in the process of uploading the new version.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Note: It is amazing how my bankroll is affected by playing without this tool. Please help.

Thank you.

When you look in Task Manager you need to go to the Processes tab, not just Applications. Look for PokerTracker.exe and 'End' it.
When you update, do NOT uninstall first, just install over the top.
Download and install PT3.

Ok, I did end it in the processes tab of Task Manager, as well. Thank you for that. My next problem is that its requiring a password in a small pop up box that has local host etc in it. I don't have the password requested (that I remember). How do I access or request it? Thanks so much for your help.

This is for postgres?
The default password is dbpass.
If that doesn't work, you can remove the need for passwords: How To: Remove PostgreSQL Password

Thank you kindly. I can't wait to purchase before I screw things up. Your support for this program is great. Thanks again.
