reraise vs a steal

Postby mikew » Fri Feb 06, 2009 9:25 pm

please delete my previous post

ok i am trying to find out how often a player reraises in EITHER blind when faced with a steal. there are already stats for each specific blind (Raise BB Steal Att, Raise SB Steal Att), but what if i want to know in total?

please tell me where i messed up

i created two new columns under Player Statistics section:

cnt_steal_def_opp

Code: Select all
sum( if[ holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_blind_def_opp, 1 ,0 ] )

cnt_steal_def_raise

Code: Select all
sum( if[ holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_blind_def_opp AND holdem_hand_player_statistics.cnt_p_raise > 0, 1 ,0 ] )

and then a new stat:

Raise vs Steal Att

Code: Select all
(cnt_steal_def_raise / cnt_steal_opp) * 100

and then i run a report on myself with these 3 stats but the data seems weird:

shouldnt my new stat be the average of these two?

This is where the problem is.

You are using the wrong opportunities column - this is telling you how often you raised a steal defense opportunity when you had the chance to steal (which are different situations).
The denominator should be your new column "cnt_steal_def_opp".

I followed along with this post. I made the two new columns and the new statistic.

In the reports tab, the statistic "Raise vs Steal Att" shows up, and I can double click to add it to the report stats list. However, Raise vs Steal Att doesn't show up in the results of the report even though all of the other statistics do. What am I doing wrong?

Have you set the Title and Width fields in the Format tab of your stat?
If you don't configure these the stat won't show in reports.
