Big Bet Stat

Postby wilsoa6 » Sat Nov 15, 2008 7:41 pm

What is the definition of a Big Bet (BB). It is used in several stats ( BB/100, BB/hr, etc) but what is considered a big bet.

Also is there a way to create my own statistic and if so how?

I am using Pstars. Thanks

Big Bet refers to the size of a Big Bet in limit poker, and is twice the size of the big blind.
If you are playing NL or PL and prefer to have BB relate to Big Blinds instead, you can set this as an option on the Preferences tab in PT2.

If BB is not applicalble to NL then is there a stat that tracks all-in bets such as "all-in/100"?

The BB/100 stat works fine for NL and PL, but the 'concept' doesn't strictly apply, so most people will want to change it to show big blinds / 100.

How would you write the code to return "all-ins as a percentage of all raises"?

You can't do this in PAHUD.

In PT3, you could create a new stat: All-in Raise Perfentage, defined as:

(cnt_raise_allin / cnt_raise_total) * 100

on the stats tab using two custom columns: cnt_raise_allin and cnt_raise_total

Define cnt_raise_allin as:

sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.enum_allin != 'N',1,0])

and define cnt_raise_total as:

cnt_p_raise + cnt_f_raise + cnt_t_raise + cnt_r_raise

Unless you play a lot of super turbo tournaments, expect this number to be very small.
