Amalgamating Databases

Postby mark196237 » Wed Jul 30, 2008 6:08 pm

I have 4 databases set up to seperate Full Ring/Short Handed - No Limit/Limit. For what ever reason when i save files to a database it seems duplicates in one of the others making nonsense of my figures. Is there a way of amalgamating the four databases into one and using the filters instead to determine which set of stats to analyise.

To combine (synchronize) the two databases, from each smaller database use Utilities>Export Hand Histories to File to create text files of your hands, then use File>Import Hand Histories/Tournament Summaries to import the hands into the other main database. You can import the exported files all at once by putting them in the same folder and using File > Auto-Import hand Histories > Generic Setup...

Thanks for your help Mike. Seemed very straight forward, thought that it would be more complicated. Thanks again!

Just one further issue. When doing the above i've found that my tournament summaries haven't copied across in a large number of cases. What will i have done wrong?

The export process can only get hand histories and summaries that were created by the poker sites. Any manually entered tournament summaries cannot be exported so you will need to re-enter them.

Ok, thanks. The best thing to do then would seem to be keep the database that contains my tournaments and make it my tourament database.
