can't enter password in DOS window when creating BACKUP DATA

I've just tried to create a backup file for my database, i entered Utilities -> PostgreSQL Database Funtions and pressed "Backup" button, but when the DOS window came out i could not enter my password! tried cuple times but useless, the simbols of password JUST NOT PRINTING!
can anyone tell me what is the problem? and sorry for my english if there's any misstakes. :roll:

Click the link at the bottom of the window that says this:

IMPORTANT!!! - WHEN DOING A BACKUP OR RESTORE - If a window opens that asks for a password then you should make some changes to one of the .conf files, click here for details...
