I hit the "maintain categories" button, but then PTO freezes and when I try to do anything it just beeps. This is the first time I have tried this.

Are you comfortable with making changes in the Windows registry using regedit?

I am haveing same problem. Its like the window is hideing. If I hit ESC I get back function. I use multi-monitors so am used to "invissble windows"
what is the fix for this?

OK, use regedit and go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PTrackO
Then change the value of HandCategoriesX and HandCategoriesY to 0.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PTrackO
Then change the value of HandCategoriesX and HandCategoriesY to 0.
