Did PostgreSQL v12 say that it installed successfully or not at the end of the install? Which port and password were used for the PostgreSQL install? Click your Windows Start button then type the following command:

services.msc

and click on it when it appears. Do you see the PostgreSQL service in the list? Is it started, or can you start it? What is its 'Status' and 'Startup Type'?

no it did'nt say that it installed succefully. at the start of the installation there's a window (see 1st screen)
i can see it in services.msc, it is "active", i can stop it or start it. the port is 5433, i don't see a password during the installation

This is not a new install - it's running over and updating an existing PostgreSQL v12 install. Nevertheless it looks like it worked fine.

If you look at the first screenshots you posted here you are using port 5432 in PokerTrackers 'Configure PostgreSQL Server' window. Change the connection setting to port 5433 and try to connect again.

That's because you are running the installer over an existing install. If 'dbpass' is the existing PostgreSQL password then PokerTracker 4 should be able to connect when you have changed the port number. If you used a different password when installing PostgreSQL v12 originally you will need to use that instead. If you don't remember the password used originally then see this guide:

Guide: PostgreSQL Password

If you still cannot get PokerTracker 4 to connect then go to 'Windows Start Menu -> All Programs -> PokerTracker 4 -> PokerTracker 4 (Logging Enabled)' and try to start PokerTracker 4. When that's done grab this file:

C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Logs\PokerTracker4.log

and attach it to a Support Ticket where a technician can follow up with you. If you do not see the AppData folder in Windows File Explorer then see this guide.

If your HUD is working and updating as each hand is played then that data will be available to view in PokerTracker 4. Make sure you are in the correct section of PokerTracker 4 and that you don't have any filters active that would prevent the data from appearing otherwise please attach a screenshot of your entire PokerTracker 4 report window either here or privately in a Support Ticket so we can see what you are seeing. If you are referring to older historic data then that information will not be in a new database so if you want that you will need to reimport the hands you want using 'Play Poker -> Get Hands From Disk'.

Hi, I have the same problem. I had issues with an update a few days ago as it shut down my PC during a PT4 update. As I rebooted it was giving me problems with PostGRE. I had to reinstall Postgre and PT4 but it wouldn't let me access the database. Having the backup I used the "restore" and I was able to get my databse back. The HUD at the tables works, the hands are important correctly but if I try to see the monthly graph the page remains loading indefinitely. He only uploads me the daily chart, it seems that he can't take the hands before the fact. Can I change anything? Thank you

If your restored database isn't that large go to to 'Database -> Database Management', select your database and then 'Rebuild Cache -> Full Cache Rebuild'. If that doesn't fix it then turn on 'Enable Logging' in PokerTracker 4 via 'Configure -> Options' and then restart PokerTracker 4. Next reproduce this issue and then attach your support bundle to a Support Ticket. The support bundle is created via the 'File -> Create Support Bundle' menu option in PokerTracker 4.
