Problem with Database

Postby Finfunfanfo » Thu Apr 08, 2021 10:31 am

Hi everyone, I have a problem.

I installed PT4, it took my hands from pokerstars and it put them in "C:\Users\****\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Processed" and it is ok.

Then I had in my hard disk lots of hands in a personal folder, and I put them into pt4 using "Gets Hands From Disk", and it's fine I have all hands into statistic pt4, but if i go to "C:\Users\****\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Processed" I can't find those hands, they are stll in my personal folder. Where did it saved these hands?

I would like to get only one database with all my hands, from pokerstars and my personal folder.

Sorry for my English.

That's normal. Only hands that are auto-imported ('Play Poker -> Get Hands While Playing') get moved to the 'Processed' folder - this is for performance reasons:

Guide: Processed Files

Hand history files that are manually imported from (Play Poker -> Get Hands From Disk) stay exactly where they are.

Since you have imported hands from both locations all of these hands will be in your PokerTracker 4 database - the location of the actual files on your computer that were imported from doesn't matter as the imported data is now in PostgreSQL (the program where PokerTracker 4 stores your poker data). You can manually move those other files to your 'Processed' folder if you want to store them in the same place but that doesn't make a difference with regards to your database.

So if I try to do a backup from Database Management in pt4, I will get all my hands together?

If you have imported the hands as you mentioned in your original post then the hands will already be together in your database. If those hands are from different sites then you will need to create an alias to see all of them at once:

Guide: Player Name Aliases

If you want to transfer an existing database from one computer to another then yes you can do that instead:
