Postgres problem/Can't submit ticket

Postby Flange92 » Fri Oct 06, 2023 5:17 pm

Hoping someone can help!

I'm not the most techy so apologies if this is a little vague. Not sure what has happened or what has caused it as I haven't updated any software or anything to that effect. But I am unable to open the PT4 (Mac OS) as being met with the message: 'unable to open database (postgres). Reason: could not connect to server: no such file or directory is the server running locally and accepting connections on unix domain socket /tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432

I assume its still a compatible postgres running as like I said I havent upgraded anything since it last worked.

I am also unable to log a support ticket regardless of whether I use safari/chrome or from my phone as being met with white screen with 'FORBIDDEN - You don't have permission to access this resource.'

Not sure where else to go from here! Many thanks for any help in advance.

Try the steps listed here for macOS:

Guide: PostgreSQL Troubleshooting (Unable to Login to the Database)

There is something in the message causing the error so try submitting the ticket again but don't include the "unable to open database (postgres)" text in your message and that should work.
