Hero vs Villain "Net Winnings" don't add up

Hey,

I am looking at my "Hero vs Villain" report in the "Results" tab.
My "Net Winnings" shows up as $58768
In the "Overview" report in "Results" tab, "My C Won" shows up as $9251
I figured the number in the "Hero vs Villain" tab doesn't include rake paid, so I checked that as well.
"My C Rake Contributed" is $37632.

However, when I add up these two numbers, they don't match the "Net Winnings" in my Hero vs Villain tab.

Can you please explain why this happens and where is the mistake?

You would need to use 'Rake Attributed' for that and depending on the site you might need to account for jackpot rake. Also bear in mind the figures might not match exactly due to rounding.

thanks for your answer mate. I have a few follow up questions:
- the hands that I am looking at are all from GGpoker cash games, which means they do actually have the "jackpot rake". Do you know which stat I should use here to determine how much rake was deducted from the pots for this to have a better calculation?

- I will use rake attributed like you said. I am assuming that when I deduct the rake attributed from the NET WINNINGS number, and then I deduct the Jackpot rake number, I should have the final amount of money won or lost from a specific player (minus the rounding error which is absolutely negligible). Is my assumption correct?

There is a 'Jackpot Fee Attributed' custom statistic available in the Download Warehouse.

I'm a bit confused as to what you are trying to do now. You said in your original post that you were comparing your overall winnings in the 'Hero vs Villain' report with your winnings displayed using the 'Overview' report' in the 'Results' section and my original reply was based on that. If you want to know your amount won/lost vs a specific player then you can only do that in the 'Hero vs Villain' report. Bear in mind if you are playing multiway then your winnings vs a specific player will not match the results of the hands listed below as the 'Hand' report shows each hand where both you and villain contributed from your point of view. For example you might win villains big blind in a hand but go on to win a large pot vs another player in that hand.

Sorry for the confusion. I will just explain my whole situation and maybe you can tell me a better way of figuring this out.

I unfortunately sometimes have to play a few hands per month versus my friend on the GG tables and we agreed that we will just even out whatever we won or lost to each other on the tables. Since we can't manually keep track of every pot won or lost versus each other, we are trying to find a way of how to do this using the PT4 Hero vs Villain report in Results tab.

My original confusion was caused by the results not matching at all, and me not knowing which is the final number we should be settling on.

Could you please tell me how to achieve this? We are even fine with paying each other the amount without rake in the calculation, as this evens out during the long term.

I have no clue how to figure this out at the moment, but I am sure there must be a way to find out using this report.

The top section of the 'Hero vs Villain' report tells you how much money has been exchanged between you and another player. Do not refer to the hands list below for the reason I mentioned in my previous reply.

sorry to revive this old thread, but I just found out the report doesn't work correctly.

I just played the following hand:
Hero goes all in 3 way preflop with players A and B

Players A and B have the same hand, and on the River, players A and B win the pot (they chop it) while Hero loses.
This hand is imported in my database (I am looking at it), the player names are correct, but this hand does NOT show up in the Hero vs Villain report for EITHER Player A or Player B.
This means the report is inaccurate because it doesn't contain all the hands.

Can you please help me with fixing this?
