PT4 not starting up...URGENT

Hey, This is pretty weird, I used it all day yesterday with no problems then closed the program like normal, didn't shut the comp down overnight.. then go to open PT4 this morning and it won't work. I tried restarting comp and that didn't change anything. So when I try to open it for a while nothing happens... at first I thought I must not have double clicked so I try again and a pop-up says a version of pokertracker is already running, so i wait.
Then a pop-up eventually says Unable to login to database (postgres). Reason: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061)
Is the server running on host "???" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

And if gives me the options to configure details or cancel

Click Start type services.msc and click on it when it appears. Find PostgreSQL in the list - is the service started? If not, can you start it?

thanks for the quick reply... it tried to start up for about a minute and then said it had taken too long and couldn't or somethin like that

Click Start type Event Viewer and click on it when it appears. Look in the Application area for errors relating to PostgreSQL - double click on them and paste the error text here for me please.

Alright I'm in there but under Applications and Service Logs all I see is:

Open Saved Log, Create Custom View, Import Custom View, View, Refresh and Help... and then under Hardware Events there is Open, Properties and Help

I don't see any errors at all.

It should look something like the image here - click on where it says Application on the top left pane and the middle pane will fill with different rows - look for ones with a red X next to them that say error and click on those. At least one should be related to PostgreSQL.

Awesome, found it... here is the error message:

2012-09-30 15:33:28 GMT FATAL: bogus data in lock file "postmaster.pid": ""

Click Start type C: and click on it when it appears. Go into Program Files (x86) -> PostgreSQL -> whatever version you have -> data and delete the Postmaster.pid file, then attempt to start the service again.

Hello i have the same problem but i dont understand what i have to do in event viewer there is no postgreSQL in error section. :?
