A couple of issues

Postby leviathan74 » Tue Dec 17, 2019 10:25 am

I have a couple of problems. First, a big way I judge my play is my All-in adjusted BB/100. However, I have noticed there is at least one spot when this is not measured properly. If I go all in on the flop or the turn and there is action on a later street and I lose, Pokertracker calculates this as a hand which had negative expectation for, even if I have gotten my money in good.

Here's an example hand:

PokerStars - 10/20 Ante 3 NL - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4: http://www.pokertracker.com

MP: 68.4 BB
MP+1: 70.4 BB
MP+2: 71.4 BB
CO: 77.3 BB
BTN: 72.9 BB
Hero (SB): 68.05 BB
BB: 74.4 BB
UTG: 71.9 BB
UTG+1: 100.25 BB

9 players post ante of 0.15 BB, Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.85 BB) Hero has As Qs
fold, fold, MP raises to 2.5 BB, MP+1 calls 2.5 BB, MP+2 calls 2.5 BB, fold, fold, Hero calls 2 BB, BB calls 1.5 BB

Flop : (13.85 BB, 5 players) 8h Qh Jd
Hero checks, BB bets 5 BB, fold, MP+1 calls 5 BB, MP+2 calls 5 BB, Hero calls 5 BB

Turn : (33.85 BB, 4 players) 2s
Hero checks, BB bets 16.5 BB, fold, MP+2 calls 16.5 BB, Hero raises to 60.4 BB and is all-in, BB calls 43.9 BB, MP+2 calls 43.9 BB

River : (215.05 BB, 3 players) 2h
BB checks, MP+2 bets 3.35 BB and is all-in, BB calls 3.35 BB

MP+2 shows 4h Jh (Flush, Queen High)

Main Pot [215.05 BB]: (Pre 29%, Flop 51%, Turn 33%)
Side Pot [6.7 BB]: (Pre 37%, Flop 52%, Turn 33%)

BB shows Qd Kd (Two Pair, Queens and Twos)

Main Pot [215.05 BB]: (Pre 25%, Flop 13%, Turn 5%)
Side Pot [6.7 BB]: (Pre 63%, Flop 48%, Turn 67%)

Hero shows As Qs (Two Pair, Queens and Twos)

Main Pot [215.05 BB]: (Pre 46%, Flop 36%, Turn 62%)

MP+2 wins 221.75 BB

The problem is that Pokertracker shows my all-in adjusted EV for the hand as -68.05 BB.

The second issue is this. Since I multitable, I often times miss how a hand played out. If I want to find out, the way I usually do it is by going in the "View Today's Hands" tab within the Play Poker tab. However, it's hard to find the hand I am looking for because I can only see the flop runouts at a glance. There is an option in the report to add hole cards - which would help me immensely- but the problem is that if you add that filter, it shows everyone's hole cards. So can we add a Hero's Hole Cards filter?

Is there perhaps a way for me to create a custom stat which would do exactly that?

In a hand like this where there was further action on another street after an all-in then PokerTracker 4 does not calculate adjusted equity as it introduces a bias in the results. Therefore in cases like this the net adjusted result just matches the actual result and the net adjusted graph will follow your actual result - it only diverges one way or another when all-in equity is calculated.

That means you are on the 'Hands Summary' tab and if you add a 'Player' specific stat to that report like 'Hole Cards' then each hand will get broken up into multiple lines for each player dealt into the hand. If you only want to see the 'Hole Cards' for yourself then you should use the 'My Hands' tab instead where this statistic is included by default and the report is specific to the 'Hero' in each hand.
