PT4 Upload to youtube causing accounts to be shut down

Postby 3BettinGranny » Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:20 am

Hey lads, in the last week myself and a friend have had our Youtube accounts shutdown and the only thing both accounts were used for was directly uploading hand historys from pt4 using the "Export to video" functionality.
It seems to be too much of a coincidence that this isn't related to some recent change on their end or your end.

We have not had any other reports of users having this issue. While it is interesting that you and your friend both had your accounts shut down and have both posted hands to YouTube; that is only two people in a large sea of others. We'd need to hear from others to make any type of conclusion.

Skimming through the guidelines, I do not see any reason to believe that posting a video of your session to YouTube would be in violation of any of the rules.

I would attempt to appeal the decision and learn precisely which guideline was being broken.

Best regards,

Derek

I have had this problem and so has a friend of mine. I appealed it and they just replied and said that they made the decision to leave my account banned.

It would really be nice if they would give a better explanation but I've learned that is what to expect from these major tech companies :(

IF the issue was due to PokerTracker; you would think they would cut off our API access or notify us and not individual users. I will try to get some answers but I am still skeptical the issue is due to PokerTracker posting replayed hands.

Best regards,

They have apparently updated their policy on this and you can submit sites for approval to be allowed. Would probably be good if PT4 got submitted and approved there so that no further accounts get banned.
