Creat Database in a new disk

Postby fdmlopes93 » Fri Feb 14, 2020 7:37 am

Hello everyone!
I bought a new disk and just installed it on my computer. I need to creat a new database in this new ssd and than import my hands to that database.
So the all plan is to move PT4 to that disk and free the windows disk. Do i need to unnistall PT4 and Postgreesql and install in the new driver?

I found posts about this but they are all very old and usually about moving the database.

What do you guys think is the best solution for me?

Thanks

PokerTracker 4 itself doesn't take up much space so you do not need to necessarily reinstall that but if you need to move PostgreSQL (the program where PokerTracker 4 stores your poker data) then you should first of all backup your existing data:

Guide: Backup & Restore

You can then uninstall PostgreSQL, reinstall it to the new drive and then restore your backup file:

Guide: How to Manually Install or Reinstall PostgreSQL

Restoring from a database backup means that you do not have to reimport your hands all over again. If you have any further questions or need any other assistance just let us know.
