Help with understanding graph

Postby Starlord » Wed Apr 15, 2020 6:53 am

Hi,

Can someone help me understand this graph in terms of begin a bit lucky unlucky? I am a bit confused.

Does it mean because my "showndown winnings" (blue) are higher then "My C All-in adj" (Mud green) that I have been slightly more lucky?

I am confused because I see people talking about the "my C won" in correlation with "My C All-in Adj" to explain being unlucky or lucky.

Can someone explain this to me?

Thank you for your time

The comparison is made between the 'My C Won' (green line) and 'My C All-In Adj' (yellow line). The yellow line goes up and down based on the pot equity you had in each all-in rather than the actual amount won/lost so since your yellow line is higher than your green line you have won less than expected in that sample - see this guide and if you have any further questions let me know.

Thank you for taking the time to reply my post.

I thought "My C won" (green line) Was "money won with showdown" (blue line) + or - "money won without showdown" (red line)?

How can "My C won" correlate with "My C All-in Adj" if the latter only covers the All-ins and the "My C won" covers your total real winnings with showdowns in which you did not go all-in, all-ins and non showdowns?

Thank you in advance.

The yellow line still moves up and down with any money won/lost as it is the total win/loss for all hands (with an adjustment for all-in hands). In hands where there was no adjusted equity the yellow line moves in the same direction as the green line as the actual result is the same as the expected result i.e the distance between them remains the same. To put it another way if you started from zero, played 1k hands without any all-ins then the yellow and green lines would be identical (your blue line could be anywhere in relation).
