Wrong allin adj bb

Postby allderio » Wed Apr 22, 2020 2:13 pm

In the PT4 report I often see hands in which it reports a negative cEV, while in reality it is not so.

For example, in the last few hands I go allin preflop with 99 against AKo and QKo. Lost the push, ok, but why does PT4 bring me a negative EV in the report (All in adj BB)? I have 45% pre in 3 way

Excuse-me for my English. I'm French.

When somebody is all-in in a 3way pot and there's action after post-flop, All-in adj bb is false. All-in equity is not taking in account. Even when you're heads-up against the all-in guy on the flop or on the turn.

Adjusted equity is not calculated in any hand where there was further action on another street after an all-in or if a player calls an all-in and later folds. When further actions are possible after more information becomes available then the players who can act have further choices, and only the stronger hands are likely to get to showdown (with weaker hands folding) and this introduces a bias in the results.
