PT4 reports problem with Vista but i have windows 10

Postby isildurjr » Wed Nov 11, 2020 3:49 pm

Hi

I just bought this software and when opening the program I get the following error:

PROBLEM DETECTED!
For this version of PokerTracker to run properly with Windows Vista, you should make sure that you use the 'Run as Administrator' option to launch the program.
To do this, right-click on the PokerTracker shortcut and choose Properties. On the window that opens, click the 'Advanced' button. On the next window, check the 'Run as administrator' option and click the OK button to save the changes.
If you are not running as Admin, please restart and make the changes to your shortcuts. It is highly recommended that you do NOT continue.

However, I am running Windows 10, not Vista, and the message appears whether or not i run as administrator.
It lets me continue, but the HUD is not working and I have to import hands manually via the Setup Assistant for them to be added to the database. I am assuming this is related.

Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks,
K

Yes that is likely related. Please uninstall PokerTracker 4 and then re-download it from here. After downloading right-click the file and select 'Run as administrator' to reinstall PokerTracker 4. After reinstalling like this do you still get the warning?
