Using PT4 to analyse observed hands

Postby Hellos » Fri Oct 05, 2012 5:21 pm

I have a few million observed hands, i.e. hands, where I am not involved and all hole cards are unknown until showdown, if there is one.

Is there a way I can analyze those hands, i.e. go through all hands make a ranking of the most profitable hands overall in my sample?

If you imported them all into a database then created an All Players report and removed the Player stat and added in Hole Cards it would show you overall profitability by hole cards. However, that would only take into account hole cards shown down - you won't know the cards that people folded.

Thanks.

How exactly do I remove the player stat and add hole cards?

I ran the all player report, which took a few hours, then hit save, and it started loading again. Is this supposed to be the case?

In the "Report Stats" list to the left of the report double click on "Player" to remove it, then type "hole" into the search box below and double click to add the hole cards stat.

Click the grey monitor icon in the sidebar to watch the tutorial video on working with My Reports.

Thanks.

How can I get the PostgreSQL query that is executed to generate the report?

If you start PT4 using the Logging Enabled link and run the report the SQL is printed in our log file which you can find by clicking File -> Show User Data Folder. It's the text file called PokerTracker4 that's in the directory that appears.
